Changing the banner image used to be fairly straightforward as long as the image was reduced to below a certain size ( 1MB I believe )
Now I just cannot upload any image at all no matter what size ?
It just says “ Unable to upload image please reference to file storage area “
Any ideas or assistance most appreciated
Cheers

The first place I would look is by going to Admin -> Themes -> Theme Manager and look at the Size column. Each theme is only permitted to be 10MB in size, so if your theme is at, or close to (like 9.9MB), then you are out of room for that theme. You can scroll to the bottom where the custom images are and see if any of those can be deleted to free up some space.

I’ve only used 9/50mb so that seems okay ?
It just won’t let me upload a new banner image ?
It says “ More details are available in the file storage area “ but nothing jumps out as the solution 🤔

It says “ More details are available in the file storage area “ but nothing jumps out as the solution 🤔 You misunderstand. The bar at the top is for TOTAL space allowed for ALL THEMES installed. You are only allowed 10MB PER THEME. This is why I suggested looking at the Size column in the theme list - specifically, the one for the theme that you are trying to upload the banner to.

forumac - On your forum go to Admin > Themes > Theme Manager. On that page you should see a list of installed theme(s). Just to the right of the theme name is a size - which is the size of that particular theme. Example: The size of an individual theme cannot exceed 10MB.
