Forum URL: fanaticus.boards.net/forum Forum URL: forwardmarchstudios.freeforums.net/I cannot log into either of my two forums. I log into my ProBoards Account successfully. It shows my username in the top right hand corner. Thereafter when I try and log into the relevant board using the username I get this message: Oops, there was an error! Invalid request token / possible request forgery (error 1). If you received this message in error, please go back, refresh, and try again. It does this on both boards and I cannot get past it. Resetting the password does no good. When I look in my account it shows that the forwardmarchstudios is linked but that the other one is not. But when I try and log in it tells me that it is linked. Very frustrated by the lack of usability of this system. kind regards Hugh

Hi Could i ask that you try clearing the cookies in your browser [ note that this willlog you out of websites ] and try again. Let me know how it goes. Alternately, if you go to www.proboards.com it should show you a list of your accounts. If you click on the account, does that log you in? If you can login like that, then you may want to try making this small change to your Forum Wrapper template: Admin > Themes > Layout Templates > Forum WrapperLook for the $[login_link] tag just after the word Please, which will be around line 40. Change that tag to this: <a href="https://login.proboards.com/login/$[forum.id]">Login</a> Hopefully that helps you with a better login experience. Craig

Hi I have cleared the cache of cookies. It has not helped. I got this message: Link You have successfully logged into your ProBoards global account. Do you already have an account on fanaticus.boards.net? If so, enter your username and password below to link your forum account to your ProBoards global account. If not, you can create a new forum account.
From <https://login.proboards.com/upgrade/link_username/6530789> It will not accept the username and password. It does not show up on my ProBoards Global account list. BUt the Forward March one does and the Support one does.
kind regards Hugh

You would have to log out of 1 global account and log into the other for the 2nd forum. However, you can put all of your forum accounts under 1 global account. Here is a Help Guide Article describing the global account system: Understanding the v5 Global Account System - scroll down to the section titled Transferring all your Forum Accounts to one Global Account to see how to get all of your forum accounts under 1 global account.

hughsupport - confirming what Lynx stated above. I see for each forum you are using a different email address (different global accounts). This causes confusion with the browser and login server which is why you are receiving the error. You can avoid this by making sure you completely log out of one forum before logging into the other (and continue to do this). Or you can use different browsers to visit the forums (for instance always use Chrome for one forum and Firefox for the other) However ideally the best solution is to use just one email address with our service. There are instructions to combine the global accounts (in the link Lynx provided), or if you like I'd be happy to assist you with this.

Thanks Scott, I would like you to assist me please.
This is not the cause of the problem. The account was running off one email (the one for the Forward March Studios forum) and I could not log into either forum. I created the new account as part of my efforts yesterday to make the system work. I have not been able to log into either forum for a long time but frankly could not spare the time to fix it.

HI Scott,
Am still unable to log onto my ProBoards Forums. I have sent two emails. If this is not working then I can send one from a google account instead.
Would that work?
cheers Hugh

hughsupport - I replied to your email. Your accounts are now consolidated to one global account.
